Vetus 2007 is made from Tempranillo 100%. Manual selection. Aging during 12 months in French and American oak casks.
Tasting notes: Bright cherry red colour with crimson rim. On nose, smoky, scents of wild berries, minerals, menthol, flowers, cocoa and roasted coffee. On palate, intense and tasty, with fruity and spicy reminiscences, hints of chocolate and balsamic herbs.
What the critics say...
Robert Parker: 88 points(01/01/2011)
"It gives up a slightly reticent nose of scorched earth, pencil lead, espresso, and blackberry. On the palate it is relatively forward with ample savory black fruit, good balance, and 1-2 years of aging potential. The finish is medium-long and fruit-filled. Drink it from 2011 to 2019."

Up on top of a Hill, the modern building that host Bodegas Vetus offers to us a countepoint to a singular landscape surrounded with vineyards. Decorated with the most avant-garde aesthetics the building also counts on state-of-the-art technology to maintain the essence of the grape they work... with. Vetus has auto-refilling stainless steel tanks with a double pissage system wich allows to get the most out of the grapes and that manages to undergo an impeccable fermentation process. In adition to this, all the collected grapes undergo a double selection process, at first in the vineyard itself an later on in a manual sorting table, where only the best bunches are picked. For the ageing of our wine Vetus works with the best cooperages of French oak.
