The Valdelana Crianza 2008 is elaborated with 95% Tempranillo y 5% Mazuelo. Fermentated at a temperature between 27ºC and 28ºC during 18 days. Aged in a type of oak 60% French and 40% American. The average cask age is 3 years. Cask ageing during 12 months. Bottle ageing during 12 months.
Tasting notes: Brilliant ruby red colour. Nose: clean and complex. Aromas of fruit with noticeable hints of fine oak. Palate: well structured, balanced and tasty in the mouth. Complex, elegant finish.

The Valdelana family has been farming their land at Elciego since the 16th century. The oldest information concerning the winery dates back to November 12th, 1583. This is the date in which, during the reign of Philip II Elciego becomes independent of Laguardia. The king of Spain accepts the... independence and receives wine coming from the cellar of the villa in exchange. Currently the owner of the winery is Juan Jesus Valdelana, who starts in the wine world in 1980, after buying his first vines at a winery in Elciego and expanding the family farm afterwards
