Tempestad Godello is made from 100% Godello. Hand selected grapes before being de-stemmed, pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Once the density reaches 1020, part of the must is racked off to complete fermentation in French oak barrels. Ageing on lees for 3 months to add complexity before the final blending and bottling.
Tasting notes: A complex godello that is best opened half an hour before tasting. Nose: flinty and mineral with hints of green fruits (apple). Palate: salty, mineral, fresh and lively.
What the critics say...
Robert Parker: 92 points(01/06/2011)
The 2010 Tempestad Godello (100%) was fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel and aged sur lie for 3 months prior to bottling. It offers up an inviting bouquet of quince, melon, mineral, and floral notes. Rich, concentrated, and mouth-filling, it is likely to evolve for 1-2 years and provide enjoyment through 2016. It is an outrageously good value.
