It is located in the upper area of the north plateau, right in the Duero antiplain, occupaying a great extension of the Valladolid province (53 municipalities) and of the adjacent Segovia (17 municipalities) and Avila (2 municipalities). It is extended on a... smoothly wavy land placed right in between some of the cities which played a remarkable importance in the Spanish medival history.
The extensive replantation of this area with local grapes, particulary the Verdejo, has originated a new generation of fresh, young and fruity wines which start ageing now.
