Ramón Bilbao Crianza 2009 is made from Tempranillo 100%. Aging during 14 months in American oak casks followed by another 8 months in underground bottle racks. A Rioja which, in spite of trends, remains loyal to its classic style.
Tasting notes: Deep cherry colour, garnet rim. On nose, essences of black berries, balsamic, notes of cedar, spice box, aromatic herbs and tobacco. On palate, toasty, greasy, elegant, ripe fruit, mineral, tasty. Lingering and seductive final.
Pairing: Aged Cheese, Game Animals, Grilled Red Meats, Legume, Roasts, Stews.
Ramon Bilbao possesses an important production of own vineyard (75 hectares in Haro, Briones, Abalos, San Vicente of Sonsierra, Cihuri, Anguciana and Cuzcurrita del Rio Tirón) besides a vineyard property controlled by farmers of the area.
