The 8A Uvadoble is a new wine from Bodegas Ochoa, being the vintage 2014 the first to hit the market.
It is a white wine, made with 80% Viognier and 20% Viura (Macabeo) grapes, coming from the plot La Pedrera, located in Traibuenas, where the vineyards are young, since these were planted at the return of Adriana Ochoa after her work experience in Australia, and she is the responsible winemaker for this wine.
It has an ageing on its own yeast for 6 months, indispensable for the wine to get more volume and body.
The name of the wine comes from a play on words in Spanish with the name of the grapes from which the wine is produced (uve doble - doble uva).
This is a "different" and casual wine, which is due to the grape Viognier, a non-usual type of grape in Navarre, but the bodega has managed to produce a very tasty and easy to drink wine.
