The Montevannos Tinto Joven 2009 is elaborated with 85% Tempranillo and 15% Merlot. Over 30 year old strains. Under extreme altitude conditions (850-900 m) and subjected to cold winters and dry summers. This vintage was rated as "excellent".
Tasting notes: Deep cherry colour with garnet edge. Clean and bright. Powerful and long aroma. The figs and peaches subtly appear in combination with ripe black fruit (blackberry and strawberry). Tasty and powerful red fruit palate with a mineral touch. Good balance between acidity and graduation. Fruity, long and persistent final.

Bodegas Montevannos was established in the year 1987. It is located in Baños de Valdearados (Burgos), a rich and generous land on the highest area of Ribera del Duero, next to a 2,000 years ancient Roman site, as proves the mosaic with bacchic allegories discovered during the 1972... harvest.
