From the 18th century exist historical precedents of the Mas Perinet´s winery, whose name comes from the surname of the first propietary family, of French origin. From 1894, and due to the phylloxera, the vineyard growing was gave up, and it is in 1994 when Antonio Casado, Alejandro Marsol and... Joan Manuel Serrat acquire the estate to resume Mas Perinet's former wine project. The estate includes a surface of 300 hectares in the Priorat region, of which, nowadays 33 hectares are dedicated to the vineyards. 23 of them are in the D.O.Q. Priorat and 10 in the D.O. Montsant, with two physical different wineries, but close each other. This is why Mas Perinet elaborates wines with these 2 denominations of origin.
