It was aged 5 months in oak barrel.

Straw yellow colour. Ripe white fruit flavors, with a little bit of citrus fruits and aniseed finish. Creamy and full in mouth, balanced palate with slight smoked notes.

The 2009 Coma Alta is a blend of 70% Garnacha Blanca and 30% Viognier with 30% of the wine barrel-fermented. The wine was aged for 5 months in French oak. Mineral, citrus, melon, popcorn, and floral aromas inform the nose of this slightly reticent wine. Creamy on the palate (likely from its time in oak), it will hopefully fill out with another 1-2 years in the bottle.
