Marqués de Alella Clásico 2011 is made from 100% Xarel.lo, grape variety which is called Pansa Blanca in the city council of Alella (Barcelona). Manual harvest. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting notes: Straw colour, greenish rim. On nose, fruity, white flowers, creamy, citrus notes, hints of caramel, herbal toiletries and almonds. On palate, full-bodied, fresh, sweet, notes of cocoa, citrus and baked apple.
Marques de Alella belongs to the Parxet Group, along with the wineries Parxet, Tionio and Basagoiti. They have around 200 hectares of vineyards in the districts of Sta. Maria de Martorelles, Montornès del Vallès, Sant... Fost de Campsentelles, Alella and la Roca del Vallès in the D.O. Alella. The varieties planted are principally Pansa Blanca and Chardonnay on SO4 rootstock.
