The wines destined for the Luis Cañas Crianza come from 30 years old vineyards. It is 95% Tempranillo and 5% Garnacha, and was aged 12 months in French (70%) and American (30%) oak barrels of 3 years. Additionally, it spent 9 months in bottle.
Tasting notes: Cherry garnet color. On the nose it is clean with balsamic notes and fine nuances of plum and clean wood. In the mouth it is tasty, soft. Melting fruits and oak, spicy, complex and structured. It has a pleasant finish where red fruits show up with balsamic memories.

Bright cherry red colour. On nose, sweet spices, creamy oak, red fruit. On palate, fruity, tasty, toasty, ripe tannins.

Luis Cañas Winery is a familiar winery dating back to 1928, though the family spend more than two centuries devoting itsel to the viticulture and to the wine production. Nevertheless, it is in 1970 when Luis Cañas is released commercializing young wines. In 1994 it releases a modern... winery provided with the best systems of production, where Crianza and Reserve wines of maximum quality are produced. The new winery was complemented with new and successive extensions, as another new area of production which started functioning for the 1998 vintage, and a new casks wherehouse released 1999 with 2000 new casks. At the end of 2006 a new phase of 4.500 square meters was completed to improve the receipt area of the grape. where the grains are selected, being one of the first wineries of Spain in having this system called Mistral. Likewise, it has a new and modern production area with the most advanced systems of production to produce quality wines supported by a market in continuous growth and a faithful clientele, and also in prestigious national and international awards and mentions both obtained in the most important tastings and contests in the world.
