The Liberalia Uno 2010 is elaborated with 90% moscatel, 10% Albillo, coming from a seventy year old vineyard. Sweet white Wine, exclusively obtained through a natural process. The fermentation process of this sweet natural wine is done through a great quantity of sugar coming from its own grapes, Moscatel, right from the El Pego fields, and the ones from the Albillo variety.
Tasting notes: Nose: characteristic nuances of the Moscatel variety along with the distinctive ripe fruit of the Albillo. Fine aromatic wine of great intensity. Fresh and young. Citric notes (grapefruit, tangerine), apricot peel, lychee and white flowers. Palate: ample, slightly oily character, long, and persistent. A perfect balance of sugar with acidity providing an array of different and long aftertaste sensations.
Pairing: Blue Cheese, Chocolate, Desserts, Ice Cream, Pastry.
Liberalia is a family owned vineyard located in the prestigious area of the Denominacion de Origen Toro, in the province of Zamora, Spain. Liberalia started its production of singular and high quality wines in the year 2000. Previously and since 1996, Juan Antonio Fernández, the... owner, faithful to his career as agricultural engineer, acquired and organized the vineyards, whose ages range between 30 and 100 years old. The vineyard is located in fields where the traditional crop has been the vine. The variety is Tinta de Toro, which is an adaptation to the terroir of the variety Tempranillo or Tinto Fino. The family is also the owner of native and ancestral white grapes vineyards, which include the following varieties: Moscatel de Grano Menudo, Malvasía, and Albillo. Robert Parker grants 96 points to the reserva Liberalia 5.
