The Cabeza de Cuba Crianza 2002 is elaborated with 100% tinta de Toro coming from more than seventy year old vineyards. Twelve months maturation in French oak. Selection of the higher part of the barrels. Twelve months refining in the bottle. This wine accurately reflects the history of that grape which was selected from the stock just for it.
Tasting notes: Intense and luminous cherry colour with vermilion shades in its robe. Nose: great complexity. Aromas of the balsamic series, with remembrances of resin and juniper along with medicinal traces, such as preserve ginger rinds. Presence of a grape very close to the tertiary series, which provides traces of berry, blackberry and plum. Palate: flavoured character, with the interlaced presence of tannins from the grape and the ones from the wood resin, which makes it to go slowly and full of flavour while being carried through mouth.
Pairing: Aged Cheese, Game Animals, Grilled Red Meats, Legume, Roasts, Stews.
