The José Pariente Verdejo 2010 is elaborated with verdejo (100%). Coming form the old family vineyards, the area is characterized for having poor organic matter and a continental climate forcing the vines to look for water resources in the deepest subsoil. Maceration is done at a low temperature for 8-12 hours. After pneumatic pressing, alcoholic fermentation takes place at a low temperature in stainless steel tanks. Wine remains then on its lees until clarification and later on a cold treatment and filtration is done.
Tasting note: Bright yellow colour with greenish reflections. Nose: Intense and complex aroma. Notes of tropical fruits, passion fruit and citrus. Aromas of fennel, scrubland, anise, balsamic. Elegant and fresh. Palate: Fresh and fruity. Sweet with an elegant touch of bitterness at the end.

Bodegas y Vinedos Jose Pariente’s 2010 Verdejo offers up a pleasing perfume of nutmeg, guava, mineral, and spring flowers. Crisp but a bit clipped in the finish.
The history of this winery goes back to José Pariente, whose passion for more than forty years was to grow Verdejo grapes and make his hand-crafted wines. His daughter Victoria inherited his same passion and after specialising in oenology and viticulture, decided to continue the family traditn. ... /> The winery is located in the very heart of the Rueda D.O. and next to the vineyards. This location makes it easier to have access to the grapes during the harvesting season, and thus avoids possible oxidation.
