Young but well balanced, impetuous but disciplined. Unexpected fruity tones. Surprisingly smooth. A full bodied, persistently aromatic wine, perfect for everyday enjoyment.
Joan d'Anguera is a family winery founded in 1820 by Joan Anguera, the second son of the main vine-growers' family of Darmós. Nowadays Josep and Joan brothers are in charge of the winery, who are the seventh generation. The winery philosophy is based in the quality and creativity in its... wines, this is why the best grapes are selected in perfect ripeness. The property of the family has 39 hectares distributed in four estates, with a Mediteranean growing of grapevine, olives and almonds. The most ancient estates are l'Argatà estate of 15 hectares (including the Mas d'en Perentón and the mountainous plot of el Bugader) and The Planella of 4 hectares. The Mas de Pedret of 16 hectares was added in 1950 and the estate elTancat of 4 hectares in 1990.
