The aging process of approximately 24 months, it was carried out in French new oak casks (5%) beint the rest from the first wine, to be refined in bottle for a few months before to be released.
Intense garnet color of medium robe. Initially, its aroma reminds the violet perfume, very floral, with light wax touches. As the wine becomes oxygenated, it brings a bigger ripeness - tomato jam and black fruits - at the same time aromatic herbs as the rosemary show up. In the mouth, the entry is fresh, almost balsamic, with important acidity yet. The tannin is round and soft. Ideal to accompany roasted white meats and stews.
What the critics say...
Robert Parker: 95 points(01/02/2007)
The 2004 Tinto is 86% Tempranillo, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 4% Merlot fermented in barrel and aged in French oak for 16 months. Inky purple, it has an expressive bouquet of mocha/espresso, pain grille, graphite, wild blueberrys, and blackberry liqueur. This is followed by a full-bodied, full-flavored, plush wine with layers of spicy black fruits, impeccable balance, and a long, pure finish. The tannins are well concealed but this superb effort should evolve for 4-6 years and drink well through 2027.
