Finca el Carril Tinto 2010 is made from Tempranillo and Petit Verdot. Fermentation for 21 days with selected yeasts at a temperature of 25°C. Maceration during a week. Maceration-fermentation for 2 weeks.
Tasting notes: Nose: Notes of raspberry and red licorice provided by the Tempranillo variety and floral hints of violets, rose petals and blackberries with hints of vanilla and coconut provided by the Petit Verdot variety. Palate: elegant, with a long aftertaste of ripe fruit.
Andrés Iniesta, football player for FC Barcelona and the Spanish national fooball team has set up his own winery in his hometown, Fuentealbilla in Albacete. The winery is attached to the Designation of Origin Manchuela, one of the most promising wine regions of Spain. Although the... winery has been recently built, the vineyards -120 hectares- have been acquired by the Iniesta family in the 90's. The main grape varieties are the Bobal and Macabeo, but also the Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Verdot, etc.
