Ferret Brut Nature Gran Reserva 2006 is made from Parellada, Xarel.lo, Macabeo and Chardonnay. Fermentation in French 300l. oak barrels. Bottled at a constant temperature of 14ºC for a minimum of 30 months, during which time a slow second fermentation takes place. Finally when the cava is ready the lees are removed through the process of “degüelle”.
Tasting notes: Pale yellow colour with greenish hints. Abundance of fine bubbles. Nose: complex nose. It has a wide range of aromas. Green apple, hay, honey and citrus. It combines with the toasted and toffee aromas gained during the oak ageing period. Palate: light and fresh, but with a well balanced acidity. Smooth smoked palate and grassy, bringing structure and harmony. Overall a great product.
It´s founded in 1907. It´s located in Guardiola de Font-Rubí. Once the classic base wines from the Penedès Cava region are obtained - Parellada, Xarel.lo and Macabeo, the coupage (blend) is created.
