Xarel.lo 3 vinyes is made from Xarel.lo 100% from vineyards from 30 to 50 years old. Hand harvesting and pelicular cold maceration. Fermentation in stainless steel vat, boots of French and Acacia oak barrel of first and second year. Grape varieties are vinified separately. Fermentation and battonage on lies in the vat and boots.
Tasting notes: Golden colour and green hues. Nose: good aromatic intensity and hints of white fruit, toasty, notes of mandarin flower, vanilla, butter and almond. Palate: nice entry, fresh and perfect acidity giving complexity and persistence.
Ferré I Catasús is the result of a dream come true. It all started when in the 30s Luis Ferré Pascual - Josep Maria Ferré y Catasús's father- and his mother, María Catasús Domenech, got married in secret. This impossible love lead them to lose... all the inheritance that rightfully belonged to them. In the late 90's, Ferre I Catasús went back to his hometown - The Granada (Alt Penedès) - where his ancestors worked as viticultors. Josep Maria Ferré I Catasús and Luis Ferré built the Gustems country house, the old family home, and equipped it with the latest technology and the most advanced machinery for the production of wines and champagnes. They also redirected the output of the Ferré land so that the Ferré I Catasús wines were 100% their own from the vineyard to the final consumer.
