The Edgerton London Pink Gin is a rare and very fine gin. The pinkness derives from the pomegranate. This is the first sign of the remarkable properties of this premium gin, now to be found in the very best bars, restaurants and off-licences.
The botanicals come from all around the world. Coriander, angelica, juniper, orris root, sweet orange peel, cassia bark, nutmeg. All of them are steeped together for 24 hours before they are distilled in pure grain spirit. Of special note in the Edgerton list are damiana (a Mexican herb traditionally given to honeymoon couples but chosen here for its smoky-minty overtones) and Grains of Paradise (a prized gingery pepper said in medieval times to be gathered at dusk from the rivers that flowed out of Eden).
