The Duc De Foix Merlot 2009 is made from 100% Merlot from our own vineyards with the Denomination of Origin Penedès. A young mono-variety red wine, with a red berry aroma and notes of jam. In the mouth it is potent, persistent, balanced and with sweet and velvety tannins. Ideal for accompanying stewed meats, cured cheeses, cold meats and dishes with personality.

Covides Vineyards and Wineries, the Penedes Wine Cooperative, is born from the farmers' will of all parts of the Penedés to elaborate wines and Cavas in a professional way, but with own personality. In 1963, these agricultural businessmen created a regional powerful cooperative that was... representing a common identity and with Denomination of Origin: Penedés. As result of this joint effort, nowadays 800 associates who integrate Covides have a capacity, of a few facilities and of a technology that turns them into Catalunya's major wine cooperative and into the third one of Spain. COVIDES's success is reflected by the number of clients and the prizes and certificates, as much as by organization and, basically, by its magnificent wines and Cavas.
