The NV Brut reveals attractive notes of smokiness, minerals, white peaches and flowers on a medium-bodied frame. This finessed Chardonnay offers excellent length, with lingering notes of minerality that frame the finish. This is Lot # L8117607, disgorged June, 2007. Note: I also tasted Lot # L8128307, disgorged October, 2007, which was quite similar, although it was perhaps a touch shorter on the palate. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2010
Champagne Salon - Champagne Delamotte are two wineries that have been associated. They are located in Mesnil sur Oger. Champagne Salon is elaborated with Chardonnay white grapes, but only using the grapes from the finest vintages. Delamotte is made from grapes obtained from 5... hectares of own vineyards and 16 hectares of other growers.
