Corimbo 2008, leaving the market with an initial production of 40.000 bottles estimate reach 76.000 next year, is 100% wine of the country, the result of a sustainable vine-growing with vineyards in form of goblet from the environment of La Horra and Roa (Burgos). Predominantly continental climate, with a considerable temperature difference between day and night, characteristic of the D.O. Ribera del Duero, marks the character of this wine, very aromatic, more racial, fruity and fresh.
Corimbo is a tempranillo from Ribera del Duero with an ageing time for 12 months in French and American oak barrels. With a very intensive red colour with a dark red background and purple notes in the rim, it is a wine with a very expressive and intense aroma with a fruit character above the wood, almost imperceptible.
In the nose is noticed the red and black fruit, in the line of the cherry and blackberry, and it is perceived a freshness sensation with a light spicy notes in the line of the fresh ground black pepper. It also provides minerals remembrances that bring into the mind the smell of fresh roots from the earth.
In mouth the taste is full, enveloping, full on the palate, with a very great fruity sensation and very fresh. It appears the same nuances that it is perceived in nose, dominates the game of the red and black fruit, but it also appears the mineral character and spicy, and also it is perceived again the retro-olfaction aromas. Furthermore, the tannin is present with a very good quality, marking the youth of the wine, long, with a good acidity which gives a fullness sensation. Definitively, a Ribera with race and personality, very nice to enjoy.
