Margaux had a normally rainy winter but the dryness appeared from the month of February, usually wet, onwards. The months of March and April were the driest with high temperatures. The bud burst was observed by the end of march and took advantage of a nice spring. The flowering started by May 20th and ended beginning of June. The veraison, beginning of ripening, was observed by July 15th but the months of June, July and August showed unusual high temperatures : the consequences for the vineyard were : leaves burned, burns, bunches dryness... thus reducing the crop.
