The 2008 Castell del Remei Gotim Bru is a red wine aged in American and French oak for 10 months. The grape varieties used in their production are: Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Grenache. The grapes come from selected own vineyards in the DO Costers del Segre. It has a medium intensity cherry color with purple reflections. It features dense, slow tears fall. Very expressive and alluring aromas, vivid memories of red fruits, with roasted, balsamic notes and sweet spices coming from the room in a barrel. Entry hungry mouth with well integrated tannins. Persistence long, with remarkable coolness provided by its balanced acidity. Elegant notes of marmalade and jam by way of red fruit finish.
Castell del Remei is located in the municipal district of Penelles, in the province of Lleida, and falls within the Costers del Segre DO. Located in Western Catalonia, the estate is 120 km from Barcelona and 40 km from Lleida among the cities of Tàrrega and Balaguer.
