Robert Parker: 88 points(01/05/2011)
The 2009 Blau is a blend of 50% Carinena, 25% Syrah, and 25% Garnacha aged 4 months in French oak. This crowd-pleasing effort delivers a big mouthful of fruit along with notes of mineral, lavender, blueberry, and plum. Forward, tasty, and well-balanced, it is an excellent value for drinking over the next 3-4 years.

Cellers Can Blau was founded in 2003. The wines produced by this winery belong to Montsant Denomination of Origin which is a denomination of origin whose possibilities have not been shown yet. In opposition to its neighbouring Priorat, in Montsant one can work with characteristic varieties planted... in soils of different composition. This project is directed by the winemaker Nuria Sarroca.
