In Catalan, "marges" are the fragile, old retaining walls common in this area, some of the last remaining signs of the region's past as vital, productive farmland. We call this white wine "Blanc de Marges" since its main ingredient is Parellada, a hillside variety. We mix it with other varieties, including some with floral touches.
Varieties: Parellada (>60%), Moscatel de Grano Menudo, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc.
Winemaking: fermented in oak barrels and aged on fine lees until the spring. Dry.

At L'Olivera they grow grapes and olives and make wines and oils meant to express the place they come from: an origin, a land and a people who interpret it by making these products.
They are a social integration cooperative whose members are people with difficulties who participate... actively in the entire process. And they are convinced that work is a vital and emotional experience.
They began this adventure in 1974 in Vallbona de les Monges, in rural Catalonia.
