The Distillery in Mariinsk arises in 1902 to supply the population that at that time was repopulating the heart of Siberia during the building of the Trans-Siberian train. Mariinsk is located on the northern border between Siberia and the vast steppes, over 300 km away from any large city and is... considered one of the most remote distilleries in the world. In 2001, the Russian group Synergy specialized in vodkas, acquires it with the aim of making the best vodka possible. The purity of the water, air and land in this area makes the use of any further treatment unnecessary. In 2002, its machinery is renewed and it gets the 'High Quality Passport' from the Russian government. In 2003 the first bottle of Premium Russian Beluga Noble Vodka is made with malted wheat grain and fermented naturally in Siberian water without any additives. Filtered three times with quartz and natural birch charcoal to remove any residue that may affect the flavor or aroma. Soon they get the gold medal in the 'Fair of Wines and Vodkas of St. Petersburg'. Since then the list of awards continues to increase, but the greatest of these is to have become the undisputed sales leader in Russia. The Beluga sturgeon symbol is chosen to symbolize the purity and the scarcity of this vodka.
