CLIMATOLOGY: During the vegetative cycle of the vine (October 2008 to September 2009) it rained 498 litres /m2. This is a normal value in our area. Autumn was very short, so after The Saints and until well into the month of April was wintry; We had a long and constant Winter, a soft and short Spring and a long, hot and dry Summer, tremendously dry. There was a serious forest fire in the mountains of Horta de Sant Joan in which 5 public servicemen lost their lives, and to them we dedicate a touching memory. Sprouting began in the Vineyard on 22nd March, flowering at the normal times and ripening of the grapes began on the 16th July. The intense dryness and strong heat caused the grapes to mature unevenly. Excellent heath status for the grapes.
