Very intense cherry garnet. Correct intensity aromatics, a little bit backward but with a good fruity expressiveness and some balsamic notes. In the mouth has a medium body, good acidity, quite fruity but its excessive tannins subtract charm.

As for the 2005 Vina El Pison, like the 2005 Pagos Viejos, it is just a bit more muted and not quite as explosive on the nose and palate. It will take more time to fully strut its stuff but, make no mistake, it too is a legend in the making. Kudos to Bodegas Artadi for this tour de force!

Enormous amount of aromatic nuances: fruity base, floral, spices, minerals, truffle, ink, coffee. Sensation of harmonious solidity in the mouth, body and tannins of great quality, oily, expressive, long. Service: 18ºC. To be decanted.
