The Alvear Pedro Ximénez De Añada is a wine made with Pedro Ximénez grapes from a single harvest and with 6 months ageing in American oak barrels of 500 liters.
It is a sweet wine, greedy, ideal for a good meal, which can be drunk without problems in the next 10 years, or even longer.
You can say "half the way" to PX (is made with the same grapes), less intense, it turns sweeter but with a still consistent body matching it. At the nose sharp sultanas and dried figs, comes to the mouth with balanced richness also because of the alcohol content, and performs a satisfying persistentcy. Very indicated for dry pastry, but also for foie gras Very high value for the price !
