Red wine produced principally from Syrah which is grown on southeast facing terraces and slopes upon the characteristic "sauló" soil of D.O. Alella. The large variation in temperature from night to day allows for ideal ripeness of the skins. After de-stemming, the grapes are moved to stainless steel tanks to begin a long maceration. Macerations are done using a technique know as submerged skins to keep the skins in contact with the must allowing optimal extraction of color and tannins from the skin while diminishing volatile acidity in the final product. The wine is transferred to French Allier oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and is then aged for 14 months. To respect the characteristics and potential of the wine, it is bottled without filtration or stabilization.

The 2006 Orbus is also an easy-going, forward wine with a bit more personality. Attractive spices, layered black fruits, and ripe tannins lead to a finish with no hard edges.
