Reviews of Albet I Noya Reserva Marti Fenix 1998
It was needed to do "el degüelle" (removing the lees from the bottle) to complete the wine loss in this remarkable vintage, correcting the SO2 and topping it up again with a longer and better quality cork. This process, which is not that common in Penedes, we named "Fenix", and it is much more common in great red wines areas in order to keep evolving excellent vintages for a few more years, may be something in between 5 and 10, depending on the conservation conditions. That fact will make us also to be able to enjoy very good vintages with wines plenty of vitality, 15 or 20 years after they were harvested.
Serve between 14ºC and 18ºC
We recommend to decant the wine 2 hours before serving
Pairing: Beef, Game Animals, Grilled Red Meats, Roasts, Stews.
