The Torroxal 2010 is elaborated with Albariño (100%). Grape harvest picked by hand in a series of steps, using plastic crates of 18 kg. Completely de-stemmed grape with cold maceration in press prior to fermentation. Temperature control in alcoholic fermentation with its lees in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting notes: Straw yellow colour with green glints. Clean and bright. Nose: soft and vivid aroma. Pure pit fruits (apricot, plum and medlar) and dried flowers supported by notes of broom and laurel. Palate: velvety, fresh, unctuous and long in the mouth.
TORROXAL was born in 1998 as the result of the common project of a group of several well-known and experienced vine growers of the area, who shared a main aim and commitment: to produce not only an extraordinary fine albariño but also a high quality red wine in the area of O Rosal valley. Our... Albariño vines, which spread over 20 hectares, have more than 25 years old and are even older than the foundation of the D.O. Rías Baixas Regulating Council. To get the best red grapes, a hard work of R & D had to be carried out due to the lack of studies about these varieties up to that moment.
