The Abadía da Cova Mencía Barrica is elaborated with Mencia (100%) Maceration for 6 days. Alcoholic fermentation for 8 days, at less than 28º and malolactic fermentation. None fining treatment. Aged in new oak barrels for 9 months.
Tasting notes: Appearance: deep burgundy red, clean with brilliant glints and ruby sparkles. Nose:very complex and intense aromas. Ripe red fruit , spices, chocolate, tobacco. All of these are brought together with an oaky accent. Palate: full-bodied, seductive with an elegant, lengthy finish.

Cherry red colour, garnet rim. On nose, red fruit, ripe fruit, balsamic, fine cocoa, sweet spices, creamy oak. On palate, powerful, tasty, fleshy, round.
